Cowboys NFL Draft Rumors Roundup: WR Calvin Ridley Mocked To Dallas, LB Rashaan Evans Pre-Draft Visit, And OL Will Hernandez Wants To Be A Cowboy

The Cowboys rumors surrounding who Dallas will target in the 2018 NFL Draft are starting to grow now that NFL free agency has slowed down. The draft is hosted in AT&T Stadium this year, which means Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is going to put on a show. Jones will be looking to one-up the Philadelphia Eagles draft last year and what better way than drafting quality players that get the Cowboys fans going. Every year in early April, the Cowboys can bring in up to 30 - usually high-profile - draft-eligible players for official pre-draft visits. We have some insight on who some of those players may be and how that may impact their chances of the Cowboys drafting them. Here are the latest Cowboys NFL draft rumors you need to know:

Alabama WR Calvin Ridley Mocked To The Cowboys
The Cowboys reportedly met with Alabama star wide receiver Calvin Ridley at the NFL Combine, according to Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News. They liked Ridley so much that they will also bring him in as an Official 30 visit heading into the draft.

Ridley is older than you'd like a first-round wide receiver to be since he is 23 now and will be 24 as a rookie. For comparison, Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper is 23 years old and already in his third NFL season. Ridley's skill set fits great with quarterback Dak Prescott's play style. His route running ability allows him to get open on his own and he can instantly help the Cowboys.

Which is why it isn't surprising that NFL.com project the Cowboys to select Ridley in the first round with the 19th overall pick.

Alabama LB Rashaan Evans Future Visit
The Cowboys have been quiet this offseason, in fact, they are the only NFL team who hasn't signed an outside free agent. With the remaining market of NFL linebackers looking slim, it is likely the Cowboys will address their linebacker needs in the NFL draft.

In search of another starting linebacker next to Jaylon Smith and Sean Lee, Dallas will be hosting Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans for a pre-draft 30 visit, according to Cowboys reporter Bobby Belt.

Evans is a hard-hitting linebacker who has a high ceiling and should be able to fill in for the Cowboys if they lack depth at the position due to injuries during the season. His skill set will allow the Cowboys to potentially play him at multiple linebacker positions when needed.

UTEP OL Wants To Be A Cowboy
The Cowboys have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, so it should be shocking to hear that an offensive line prospect wants to join Dallas. UTEP offensive lineman Will Hernandez may just want to be a Cowboy more than any other player in the draft. Hernandez was terrific at the NFL combine and the Senior Bowl which led to the Cowboys meeting with him to see if he would mesh well with the team.

He appears to be fitting in with the Cowboys, especially the offensive line quite well. Hernandez was spotted at a movie with both Tyron Smith and La'El Collins in February. Then in March, he was enjoying the city of Dallas with Smith. The Cowboys players and coaches must really like Hernandez because he was also invited to a pre-draft 30 visit.

Hernandez is 6-foot-3, 330 pounds and is regarded as the second-best offensive lineman in the draft behind only Notre Dame's Quenton Nelson. If Hernandez is available to the Cowboys in the first round, he may be heading to Dallas.
