Rockies News: Carlos Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki Address Futures In Colorado

Troy Tulowitzki and Carlos Gonzalez are under contract for a staggering combined number of $237.75 million with the Colorado Rockies, but their long-term visions may different when it comes to their potential futures in Colorado.

"It's not hard to figure out,'' Gonzalez said recently, via USA Today. "I signed here because I wanted to be here. If you don't want to be here, you don't sign here. You just go to free agency.''

Tulowitzki, on the other hand, is less revealing (and perhaps tellingly so) when asked about his desire to remain in Colorado.

"I want to win here,'' Tulowitzki said succinctly.

The pair hasn't done a whole lot of winning together during their time together at Coors Field, and the frustration is indeed palpable despite an impressive 10-8 start to the 2015 MLB season.

"When Tulo and I signed a contract almost the same time, our goal was not to just sign a contract, but to stay together and win together," Gonzalez said.  "That's something we want to do so bad."

That may very well still be the case, but there remains a bit of a cloud surrounding Tulo, the front office, and each party's intentions regarding the future of their current agreement.
