Celtics Take 3-2 Series Lead With Blowout 123-101 Win Over Wizards

The Boston Celtics didn't have much trouble with the Washington Wizards thanks to a hot-shooting night. The Celtics took a 3-2 series lead Wednesday after a 123-101 win over the Wizards.

The Celtics were up 33-21 after the first quarter and never looked back. They shot 52.9 percent from the field and 16 of 33 from 3-point range. Those numbers were brought down by going on cruise control in the fourth quarter. The Wizards shot 38.9 percent and were just 7 of 29 from beyond the arc.

Avery Bradley led the way for the Celtics with his best playoff game ever. He racked up 29 points, six rebounds and three assists. The bulk of his damage came in the first half.

Three other Celtics had double-figures. Isaiah Thomas had 18 points and nine assists.

Jae Crowder nearly had a double-double with 18 points and eight boards. Al Horford had a great game with 19 points, seven assists, six boards and three blocks.

The Wizards' offense was led by John Wall, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter. Wall had 21 points, but just four assists. Beal 16, while Porter chipped in 13. Kelly Oubre had 13 points, but much of that came in garbage time.

Game 6 of the series is Friday in Washington. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. ET.
