Sun Devil softball returns to Alberta B. Farrington stadium on Thursday. The team will open up the season against Tennessee as part of the annual Kajikawa Classic hosted in Tempe.
Head coach Trisha Ford will look to improve the team’s record in her second season at the helm of the Sun Devils. With a record of 31-22 (9-15) finishing sixth in the conference standings the team was able to qualify for Women’s College World Series tournament. They saw their season come to an end after a 2-3 loss to North Carolina at the Oxford regional.
Arizona State will return a majority of the starting lineup from last year.
