The Arizona Cardinals moved to 6-2 on the year with a road win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, who dropped to 2-6 on the season. Here are three things we learned from both teams in this game:
Arizona Cardinals
Chris Johnson is the unquestioned lead back in Arizona. Johnson rushed for 109 yards on the day on an amazing 30 carries, gashing the Browns front seven for big chunks most times he touched the ball.
Arizona's front seven is as dominant as you could want. They limited the Browns to just 39 total rushing yards - 19 of which came from the quarterback position. That's the kind of performance that will turn heads around the league.
Carson Palmer is a legitimate MVP candidate. He passed for 374 yards and four touchdowns in this one, providing the latest top-notch performance in perhaps Palmer's best season as a pro.
Cleveland Browns
They HAVE to find a running game. Crowell was the leading rusher with 14 yards on 10 carries, marking just the latest in a string of games where the Browns haven't been able to get anytime going on the ground. As you could imagine, that has severely hampered the offense.
Brian Hartline may have finally given the Browns a outside threat to pair with tight end Gary Barnidge. He caught two touchdown passes in this one, though only accounted for 32 yards.
Johnny Manziel was given some garbage time work late in this one after Josh McCown got hurt for the second straight game. He went 3-of-6 for 12 yards, but the outcome was already decided when he stepped on the field. McCown completed just over 50 percent of his passes, though most of those passes were check-downs.
